Description

With four knowledge packed days and a low student to instructor ratio of 10:1 for an optimal learning environment, this "supplier version" of the official ISO/TS 16949:2002 third-party auditor certification course focuses on the requirements of ISO/TS 16949:2002, its linkages to core tools and customer requirements, and automotive process approach auditing practices. This course is designed to meet ISO/TS 16949:2002 requirements and customer requirements for Chrysler Corporation, Ford Motor Company, and General Motors Corporation.

New content includes the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) expectations for auditor performance defined in the Certification Body Auditor Competency Criteria (what an automotive auditor needs to know and do to be able to audit accurately and consistently) and Rules for achieving IATF recognition 2nd Edition. Topics addressed in the training include:

  • Stage 1 Readiness review
  • Automotive process approach auditing
  • Reporting findings
  • Investigating nonconformity management
  • Auditing customer specifics

For certification, you will be evaluated with a written examination and a performance assessment. The written exam and performance assessment covering general content of ISO/TS 16949:2002, the core tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC) and the application of auditing principles and practices.
